Life with Jesus, Community, and Purpose

At Kairos Church, we believe now is the time of God’s favor. Jesus came to give us life—and life to the fullest!
This new life, however, is not meant to simply be experienced in the next life, but right here and right now.
With the gift of his Son, God invaded our lives with love and grace through the Spirit!
All that God has for us is to be experienced today through a relationship with Jesus.

Life is best lived with Jesus, community and purpose.

We seek to daily grow in our relationship with Jesus,
build community inside and outside the church,
and discover and live out our purpose.

Core Values

Our core values are who we are.
They are not just what we do – they are part of our DNA.
These values are non-negotiable for us.

1. Community is our Heart

Life is meant to be lived together. We are a family where all are welcome. Our heart is to build community in order to serve our community.

2. Prayer is our Posture

Prayer is the first thing we do. It isn’t an afterthought. We receive power and direction when we pray. We pray to our Father, knowing He listens and cares.

3. The Holy Spirit is our Guide

We are led by the Holy Spirit in our daily lives. Submitting to the direction of the Holy Spirit, we are empowered and equipped for holy living and holy service.

4. The Word is our Foundation

The Bible directs our lives. We don’t just believe in the Bible; we live it out. God’s Word influences every decision we make.

5. Ethnic Diversity is our Gift

We are a multiethnic and multicultural community. This is a gift from God to be cherished. When we pursue and honor our ethnic and cultural diversity in Christ, we better understand and reflect the image of God.

6. Servant Leadership is our Way

We believe the greatest leadership is service to others. Every leader is a servant first. From the parking lot to the pulpit, everyone serves. Every role is different, but they are all important.

7. Generosity is our Privilege

We see generosity as a privilege. We’re generous with our time, talents and treasure. God has given richly toward us, and it’s our honor to give back to Him.

8. The Kingdom is our Pursuit

God’s kingdom is bigger than our local church. We sacrifice for the sake of the larger mission, partnering with others in order to spread the Gospel and advance the kingdom around the world.

Our Leadership

Believers who invest their hearts, time, families, and finances in the building of the kingdom of God through the local church deserve to have confidence in church leadership. People are looking for leaders who conduct themselves with integrity and respect when making decisions that affect their lives.

We Are Guided By Pastors

The Pastoral Team oversees the day-to-day ministry and operations of the church.
These staff pastors serve the congregation and are responsible for the development of the spiritual life of the church.

Jesse Tosten, Lead Pastor

Jesse serves as the Lead Pastor of Kairos Church. Prior to moving back to New Jersey, he served as the Associate Pastor at First United Methodist Church Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Roll Tide Roll! Jesse is a graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary and Lee University. Originally from Maryland, he enjoys anything with Old Bay. Life is better because of his wife, Emily, and two children.

Lisa DeMarco, Pastor of Worship & Outreach

Lisa serves as Pastor of Worship and Outreach. She completed her MA in Biblical Studies in 2020, after serving as a part-time ministry coordinator, as well as worship team leader at Princeton Alliance Church. Both Lisa and her husband, Tony, met and married when they were South Brunswick teachers. They live in Kendall Park with their kids, Leo and Angelina.

Jason Lee, Pastor of Family Ministries

Jason serves as the Pastor of Family Ministries. He served as an Executive Assistant, Welcome Team leader, and pastoral intern at Princeton Alliance Church. During that time, he completed his Master of Divinity at Alliance Theological Seminary. He met his wife, Selina, in their childhood, but were re-acquainted later in life. They enjoy life together with their birds!

We Are Served By Team

The Staff Team oversees the day-to-day ministry and operations of the church,
empowering our Serve Team to use their gifts inside and outside the church.

We are protected by our Governing Board

The Governing Board oversee the spiritual health and direction of our church. They work directly with the Lead Pastor to provide spiritual leadership to the congregation by modeling Christ-likeness, leading ministries, and praying for the church. They also oversee the finances, direct the provision of the facilities, give accountability to the staff, and serve as the legal representatives of the church.

Church Planting

We are a church plant who desire to share the good news of Jesus
throughout central New Jersey.

Our primary reason for planting churches is a response to Jesus’ Great Commission. He commands us and compels us to worship him, to share his good news, and to make disciples by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:17–20; Acts 1:8). The Spirit enables us to go into our communities to introduce people to Jesus and make a difference.

However, strategically speaking, there are 2.1 million people living in the surrounding four counties of central New Jersey. Simply put, there are not enough churches of various sizes and expressions that can reach every person. New Jersey (the 4th most diverse state in the U.S.) is too diverse ethnically, culturally, socioeconomically, and spiritually to have one “expression” of the Church. New church plants with various expressions give us the broadest ability to reach people.

As a church plant of Princeton Alliance Church and the Christian and Missionary Alliance, Kairos Church partners with others to reach more people for Christ.
